PARTICIPATING ARTISTS 2019

Tatiana Campbell

Tatiana Campbell, a sun-drenched artist based in Toronto, captivated by the tranquil moments of early mornings when the world is still, and the first light gently embraces everything it touches. Drawing inspiration from these serene experiences, Tatiana's work exudes a unique blend of warmth and creativity, inviting viewers into a world of peaceful contemplation.

With an unwavering passion for photography, Tatiana's artistry has not only captured the essence of these precious moments but has also been recognized for its excellence. Her exceptional talent shone through as she proudly claimed first prize in a renowned art competition in Toronto, solidifying her position as a rising star in the artistic community.

Michael Dorang

Michael has been playing with different art types all his life but it was when he found clay that he found his medium. The combinations of earth, water, and fire appeal to him on a primal level. Michael aspires to create pieces that combine form and function with unusual and playful finishes. Each of his pieces is unique and different. This has also lead Michael to explore jewelry making using natural elements such as clay, stone, shell and glass to create fun and unique pieces.

Patrick Jandard

Since retiring from the corporate world, Patrick has dedicated more time to one of his favorite hobbies: astrophotography.

Despite the challenges of Toronto light pollution and obstacles such as trees and buildings, taking pictures of galaxies and nebulas thousands of light years away from Earth (1 light year is about 9.461 trillion km...) has been a rewarding pastime.

Next time you look in the night skies imagine what you cannot see with the naked eye.

Patrick is also a Top Contributor to a Facebook astrophotography group.

Hollis Liddell

Holly is a local resident on Rhodes and consider herself a hobby artist.

Holly has participated in Open Rhodes Art Show over the years and enjoys how it brings the community together.

Holly draws her inspiration from everyday life. Her preferred medium is pencil and acrylic on canvas.

Anagaby Lopez

Ana is a Castro, a Mexican visual artist residing in Toronto's East End, embarked on her artistic journey in 2000, initially exploring photography and printmaking as her preferred mediums of expression. Her work is a vibrant celebration of Mexican folk art, often featuring her unique handcrafted alebrijes and fantastical creatures brought to life through paper mache. Her deep-rooted love for her cultural heritage and the natural world is a constant theme in her art. With a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts and Design at UNAM in Mexico City and an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Centennial College, Ana Gabriela Lopez Castro has honed her skills and expertise in the field of visual arts. Her collaboration with Muse Arts since 2013 is a testament to her dedication and passion for her craft. In 2019, Ana Gabriela Lopez Castro founded the Emotionart Collective art group. This transformative initiative brings intergenerational art workshops to different communities, such as Toronto Community Housing buildings, c.co-ops, and food banks. Ana's vision and dedication are bringing about positive change in these communities.

Erin McGuire

Erin has become one of those people who carries a camera at all times and isn’t afraid to use it. My favourite subjects are historical portraits, architecture, graffiti and sunsets, and I enjoy reworking my artwork to see what new framings or renderings will create an entirely new experience. My current obsession is adding foil to my prints, bookmarks, pins and magnets for a flash of colour.

Walter Kofman

Walter Thomas Kofman is a musician / singer-songwriter / composer / poet / painter / photographer / dancer / actor / and dreamer . . .

Evidently, he cannot choose any single art form.  He is also a huge fan of improvisation & impressionism.

Born and raised in Toronto, Walter has been making art of some kind since he was 3 or 4 feet tall.  Though Walter has probably stopped growing in height, Walter hopes to never stop growing in depth.

Anita Wiklém

Anita takes her inspiration from her childhood in Norway, especially influenced by the beauty of raw nature and the rough and rugged weather patterns that comes with the four seasons. Working with colour and texture she creates Shameless Self Expressions.
